What our name change means to you?


What’s the news?

On January 19, 2010 we changed the name of the company to FieldOne Systems from Pioneer Interactive. Our software suite has been renamed FieldOne, and we will phase out the name StarTech in our next software release, due to be released shortly.

Is this the only change? What else is happening?

Actually, quite a few things - all good. We obtained new venture financing to support the growth that we are experiencing. We have a new CEO, Ilan Slasky, who led that effort. Ilan has a strong background helping to finance and grow technology companies. He is assisting Shloma Baum and the team - as they continue to build the functions clients ask for, and provide the best client service in the business. We are also adding a lot of new clients. And, of course, we are hiring new people, to make sure that we meet the needs of all our clients in the manner to which they've become accustomed.

How will this affect me as a customer?

Your software will continue to function as it did prior to our name change. We encourage you to "check for updates" in the Tools menu once a week or so to make sure you have the most current version of the software. We expect to release shortly an updated version of our program, and you will notice then that the program will be called FieldOne instead of StarTech.

As a customer of FieldOne Systems, you can rest assured that we still have a laser-like focus on top-notch customer service. We're not satisfied until you are, no matter what the problem is. As we add people to our staff, we are making sure that anyone we hire feels the same way.

Our new name more accurately reflects our values. It doesn't change them.

Why "FieldOne?"

The "field" part is pretty obvious. We only do one thing, and our ongoing goal is to be the best at it. We sell run-your-business management software to field- service companies - any company or organization that has staff in the field.

The "one" part of the name reflects:

  • You only have to enter data once; it flows automatically and immediately to all other appropriate modules.
  • We really have developed the most comprehensive and convenient program for field service management companies. It stands alone.
  • FieldOne gives managers a single, integrated view of every aspect of their business.

Why now?

We are a rapidly growing company serving customers across many industry segments and across the world. We have created a unique product in the marketplace, where we enable businesses to achieve greater efficiencies through the adoption of technology solutions developed specifically to meet the needs of their service organizations. We felt our new name better reflects our position in the marketplace, and our aspiration to continue to be the best provider of software solutions for the field service industry. We felt now was the perfect time to adopt our new name.
